After purchasing the property in 2020, we immediately began the process of choosing which areas of woods to thin out. We bought a heavily used Kabota tractor and outfitted it with a logging winch and a claw. We spent that first winter, and the winters that followed felling trees. During our first full summer on the property we bought a Woodland Mills lumber mill and set about milling the logs into the lumber that would become the studio, the cabin, the tractor shed, the wood shed, the chicken coop and more.
